Rest + Wild Terms and Conditions

1. Bookings

1.1 Rest + Wild cabins handle bookings from persons over 21 years of age. We reserve the right, without giving reasons, to refuse a booking.
1.2 When you submit your booking through the online reservation system, you will receive an automated booking summary email sent to the address provided. Please check this email carefully for any errors. The automated email does not form a contract between you and Rest + Wild.
1.3 A binding contract is formed once we issue a written confirmation of your booking and receive the required payment.
1.4 Any issues with a booking must be notified by email or telephone within seven days following receipt of the booking confirmation, or before the start of your stay if that occurs within seven days.

2. Occupancy

2.1 The cabins are designed for a maximum of two people. There is space for a travel cot if you wish to bring one.
2.2 Group bookings are accepted entirely at our discretion.
2.3 Check-in is from 4.00 p.m. on the day of your arrival and check-out is 10.30 a.m. If possible, please let us know your approximate arrival time so we can ensure the cabin is warm and ready.
2.4 We reserve the right to make a surcharge for a departure later than ten minutes beyond the agreed check-out time, as this adversely affects the quality of provision we are able to offer the next incoming guest. The surcharge is £30 per 30 minutes.

3. Pets

3.1 Well-behaved dogs can be accommodated by prior arrangement. Due to roaming livestock, dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. We will provide you with a stake, long lead, and dog bowl for the duration of your stay.
3.2 We will ask the breed of your dog upon booking. This is so we can keep the farmer informed as to the type of dogs on site at any one time and to help identify them if they go missing.
3.3 Please do not leave your pets in the cabin unattended, nor allow them on furnishings. Owners are liable for any damage their dog causes to the cabin or the surrounding farmland and livestock. Please contact us immediately if this occurs.
3.4 Rest + Wild cannot be held responsible for any accident or injury to a pet during their stay.
3.5 There is an additional fee of £25 per dog for extra cleaning, taken at the time of booking.
3.6 If any guest has an allergy to pets or pet hair, please note that no guarantee is given that no pets have stayed in a particular property, whether or not that property allows pets as part of a booking.

4. Payments

4.1 All prices quoted on our website and in any booking confirmation are in pounds sterling and are inclusive of VAT at the prevailing rate, where applicable.
4.2 Bookings made online can be paid by Visa or Mastercard. Payments can also be made over the phone by calling our office.
4.3 A 30% deposit is required for bookings more than 30 days in advance. The balance will be automatically collected 30 days before arrival.
4.4 For bookings made less than 30 days before arrival, payment must be made in full at the time of booking.
4.5 We understand that sometimes plans change. If you need to cancel your stay, our cancellation terms are as follows:4.4.1 If cancelled more than 30 days prior to your stay, you will receive a full credit note or refund for the amount you have paid.4.4.2 If cancelled less than 30 days prior, 100% of your booking cost will be retained unless we are able to resell your dates, in which case we will offer you a full credit note.
4.6 We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any booking subject to refunding any sums you have paid, without further liability on our behalf.
4.7 We cannot accept responsibility or pay any compensation where the provision of the holiday is prevented or affected by circumstances that amount to “force majeure.” These include any event which we could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such circumstances include the destruction or damage of the property through fire, flood, explosion, storm or other weather damage, break-in, criminal damage, riots or civil strife, industrial action, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, war or threat of war, actual or threatened terrorist activity, epidemic, pandemic and all similar situations beyond our control.
4.8 In exceptional circumstances where severe weather, safety concerns, or access issues make it unsafe or impractical for us to operate, we reserve the right to cancel or postpone your booking. If this occurs, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer either a full refund or the option to rebook on alternative dates.
4.9 Our liability in such circumstances is limited to the value of your booking. We accept no responsibility for additional costs you may incur as a result.
4.10 We strongly advise guests to take out holiday cancellation insurance in advance of their trip.

5. Date Changes

5.1 Where possible, we will try to help you change the date of your booking if you can no longer make it. However, this is entirely at the discretion of our Customer Support team. If they cannot make a change, then the standard cancellation policy will apply.
5.2 All date changes must be requested more than 30 days in advance of the original booking. Otherwise, the standard cancellation policy will apply.

6. Damages, Breakages and Cleaning

6.1 Guests are advised to check the accommodation unit(s) for any damages or breakages found at the beginning of their stay and to inform Rest + Wild of any that they find. Please let us know if anything gets broken so we can replace it for our next guest. We will only charge for replacements in exceptional circumstances, as we expect a degree of wear and tear.
6.2 If damage is directly attributable to the guest, we reserve the right to request payment of up to £1,000. Rest + Wild reserves the right to take payment from the banking details on file. This may include, for example, the cost of repairing a broken window, replacing damaged furniture, repairing burns to flooring, or replacing soft furnishings beyond normal wear and tear.
6.3 The cost of replacing keys lost by guests is £25 each.
6.4 Guests are responsible for leaving the accommodation in good order, clean and tidy, and in the same condition as they found it on arrival. When vacating, guests must remove all food items and personal belongings, follow Rest + Wild’s instructions about where to place rubbish, and return any moved inventory items to their original place.
6.5 If the accommodation is not left in an acceptable condition and Rest + Wild has to carry out extra cleaning above and beyond what is normally expected, a £50 cleaning charge will apply.
6.6 It is the guest’s responsibility to close windows and lock the cabins when they are not on site. Rest + Wild cannot be held responsible for the guest’s personal property that is not locked away inside the cabin.6.7 Guests bringing their own bicycles should ensure they are locked and left outside the cabin and must bring their own locks. Rest + Wild cannot be held responsible for damage or theft of bicycles left on the property. Bicycles are not permitted inside the cabin.
6.8 At present, Rest + Wild does not require a security deposit. However, we reserve the right to introduce a refundable security deposit in the future to cover potential damage, breakages, or breaches of these terms. If introduced, the deposit amount will be confirmed at the time of booking and will be fully refundable, less any deductions for damage or breach of terms, within a reasonable period following departure.
